Delighted to say that the infamous Eat Your Heart Out pop up cake shop is back for 2013 – this year it’s supported by The Kraken Rum – and will be held in London from the 25th – 27th October 2013.
With a fearsome monster theme it’s entitiled ‘Feed The Beast In Your Belly’. Showstopper cakes guests will be invited to slice into include an lifesized bloated corpse of a drowned sailor, rotting giant squid tentacles and everyone’s favourite Halloween cake, severed limbs. The predicted top seller? Festering wound cupcakes will be this years STD cupcakes.

We have got some incredible macabre food art up our sleeves this year – bring it on!
A cake by Annabel de Vetten based on Episode 2 – ‘Amuse-Bouche’ – of the TV series Hannibal, where victims are being buried alive (on an IV drip) in order to become fertilizer for a garden of fungus. If you can face eating it then you will be tucking into red Velvet cake with dark chocolate ganache, Oreo cookie soil, and meringue mushrooms.
Once again Miss Insomnia Tulip is an absolute genius. This would be hard enough on a cake but on Macarons… Go Lou we are so proud of you!
More genius from Miss Insomnia Tulip
Meanwhile Paul from Pastry Guy chimed in with these amazing white glitter ‘cunt cookie’
Wonderful chocolate nails were entered into the Poke Easter bake off. I am not sure who won but I do know that these chocolate nails, fromGavin Fox of Death To The Flippers fame, are nothing short of amazing.

I love that I get to work with people such as Anna – talking about their incredible work really is a joy. So anyway what follows is one of the most inventive wedding cakes I have ever seen – talk about love at first fright. Beautiful and classy but still different I think that without a shadow of doubt this will be the star of the show at an alternative wedding she is taking part this weekend.
Food artist Annabel de Vetten, also known as Conjurer’s Kitchen, created this incredible skull wedding cake for the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza in Birmingham this weekend. Her theme being ” ‘Til Death Do Us Part”.
It features solid chocolate skulls of 16 carrion crows, 12 domestic kittens, 3 Vervet monkeys, and 4 barn owls, all of which the artist sculpted by hand. Made from White Chocolate Mudcake, the cake took her over 100 hours to complete in total. There are two options of toppers: a chocolate conjoined kitten skull, or dried flowers from an actual wedding bouquet (ones shown here from her own).
You can find more out about her work at www.conjurerskitchen.com.
Anna also created the giant Easter Island Head cake for the Tate & Lyle tasting house project closing today.
‘Half Human Half Cake’ for a private client. Concept by ‘Dave’, performer from Torture Garden, cake by Sarah Hardy. Sorry have to be really vague here in order to respect our clients privacy… Do you like it? I LOVE IT
The EYHO gang are having so much fun working on a range of religious themed cakes and treats for Easter. As a creative food genius it is always no surprise Miss Insomnia Tulip was first out of the box with these pentagram hot cross buns – and yes they will be sold in our online shop.
There will also be plain ones for atheists and of course the pentagram one is multipurpose… Turn ii upside down and you can a satanic hot cross bun which also comes with a hint if chilli.
The anatomical pop up – presented in conjunction with Anatomical Snuffbox – is almost here and the products on offer (both edible and non edible) are looking AMAZING. Sorry for the short post but as you can imagine it is a bit manic at the moment… For now you can preview some of the products on sale here.
We are based at Top Office Machines, 133 Bethnal Green Road, London, E2 7DG. Facebook event page here.
Also in the space is Cryptofloricon from Ed Saperia and Original Content London. Basically imagine a steam punk Victorian inspired florist that sells bouquets of flowers with hidden meaning. Those meanings uncoded on the brand’s website. A MUST SEE!
This bouquet can be decoded to read “Go & Die In a Hole”
PS: Don’t forget we are selling vagina cupcakes under the counter!
